Along with my colleagues from QCC Resources I recently attended the 15th ACPS Conference and Exhibition on the Gold Coast.

Over 330 people attended the Conference, and by and large the event can be regarded as a resounding success. The Conference program provided plenty of opportunity for delegates to interact and share ideas, and we enjoyed meeting with our customers as well as delegates from companies interested in our CHPP capabilities.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to present three papers which included:

  • The Design and Operation of the Mangoola CHPP
  • Design, Construction and Commissioning of a Brownfield CHPP Expansion of Ravensworth North Operations
  • Application of the Hyperbaric Disc Filter for Fine Coal Product Dewatering

If you’d like more information about the papers we presented please write a comment below or call me on +61 7 3249 0167.

Now a few weeks on from the conference and ‘back at the office’ I’ve been speaking with colleagues about their feedback:

“Conference was well organised and the standard of presentations was high.”

“Vendors who are able to service outside of coal markets are actively diversifying.”

“Ratio of coal producers representatives to consultants/OEMs/contractors was relatively low.”

“Some more astute consultants focusing on safety, delivering value to Clients, and offering alternative approaches….”

We’re looking forward to attending the next ACPS conference in 2016.

I’m always very interested in talking to people about Coal and what’s happening in the coal sector. If you’d like to call please contact me on +61 7 3249 0167, via email on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or write a comment below.
